What is the Google Trusted Stores Program?

Google Trusted Stores is a new certification program currently available for ecommerce stores in the United States. Upon completion of Google's approval process, you will be allowed to display a "Google Trusted Store" badge on your online store.

When a consumer hovers their curser over the badge, a live report card will pop up. Grades like A+, A, B, will be awarded for quality of service features like reliable shipping and customer service. Here's an example of what a Google Trusted Stores report card looks like:

What are the Benefits of Becoming a Google Trusted Store?

Showing a Google Trusted Store badge shows visitors to your ecommerce store that your shop is a great place to shop, giving them more confidence when making a purchase. To earn the badge, your store must demonstrate fast, reliable shipping and responsive customer service. Here are some other benefits you may enjoy:

How to Become a Google Trusted Store

It's easy for Shopify merchants to integrate with Google Trusted Stores. Just follow these steps: 

1. Sign-up for the free Google Trusted Stores Program
2. Enter your business information and accept the Program Agreements
3. Add the Google Trusted Store Badge App to your Shopify store
4. Google will monitor your shipping and customer service for 28 days
5. If you get a good score, the Google Trusted Stores badge will begin appearing on your ecommerce store
