Where is the ecommerce?

For the second year in a row Business Week is doing a poll of the best apps on the web. When I took a look at the poll there was no category for ecommerce apps. There was only an ambiguous “buying and selling” category which listed Amazon, eBay and Craigslist as options.

Since Business Week says that they encourage “write in” suggestions, I suggested a category for hosted ecommerce and if enough people suggest the same category, they may add it. Even if you’re not a Shopify user it would be great see hosted ecommerce as a category in this poll. You can view the poll here and you can make suggestions here
